Executive Chef Thomas Lucas specializes in cooking fresh Italian cuisine, drawing directly from nostalgic childhood memories eating pizza and Italian ice where his family lived in Northern Italy. He passionately helps others hone their culinary craft while creating a successful business to enrich the community. Thomas graduated from the California Culinary Academy in 2007, and has since worked with Michelin starred chefs on the West Coast and in the Southeast. Thomas worked for six years at the celebrated Atlanta restaurant Bacchanalia, using their wood burning oven to craft pizza and other tasty creations. After jobs at well-regarded ATL restaurants One Eared Stag and Atlas, he moved to Chamblee to work with a talented chef-owner and dear friend Jared Hucks at The Alden. When he’s not in the kitchen you might see him with his fiance Erin on a bicycle looping around the neighborhood and finishing with a beer at a local brewery.
